Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Infections

General: Gram-negative rod with secondary contaminant of superficial 636h73g wounds; Pseudomonas organisms produce a variety of enzymes that cause pathologic changes, including hemolysins and exotoxins as well as a glycocalyx that increases adherence.

Ocular: Hypopyon; conjunctivitis; keratitis; ulcerative abscess of cornea; endophthalmitis; panophthalmitis.

Clinical: Local tissue damage and diminished host resistance, which may occur in ear, lung, skin, and urinary tract.
